Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026
Tex Software, Inc. (“Tex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Delaware corporation committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services, including Tex Intel and Tex Suite (collectively, the “Services”).
This policy covers our website, the Tex Intel web and iPhone apps, and Tex Intel APIs and connected services, including the Claude connector.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and billing information.
Profile Information: Job title, company details, and other professional information you choose to provide.
Communications: Content of messages, support requests, and feedback you send to us.
Payment Information: Credit card details and billing addresses (processed securely through third-party payment processors).
Information We Collect Automatically
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Services, including features used, pages viewed, and time spent.
Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Location Data: General geographic location based on IP address. With your permission, the Tex Intel iPhone app also uses device location, including precise location when enabled, as described below.
Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and analyze usage patterns.
Information from Third Parties
Business Data: Publicly available information about heavy equipment, equipment serials, dealer activity, and maintenance records that form part of our Tex Intel network.
Integration Data: Information from third-party services you connect to our platform.
Tex Intel iPhone App
Location and Directions
With your permission, the app uses your device location for nearby firm searches, nearby business-card matching, and route starting points. Coordinates used for searches and matching are sent to Tex. You can decline location permission and choose a search area manually. When you open a route in Google Maps, the app passes the selected stops and, when available and used, a starting location to Google. Google's privacy practices apply to that service.
Equipment Plates and Business Cards
Photo text recognition runs on your device. The mobile scanning feature does not upload the original equipment-plate or business-card photo to Tex. Equipment identifiers and fields you choose to search are sent to Tex. Reviewed company details are sent to Tex to find matching firms.
When you confirm saving a business-card contact, the reviewed contact fields are sent to Tex and stored with your account and the selected firm. These may include a name, job title, email, telephone number, website, and business address.
Saved Information and Notifications
Routes, saved searches, bookmarks, watches, and saved contacts are associated with your account. The app registers an installation identifier and notification settings with Tex. If you enable push notifications, it also registers a push token. Expo and Apple's push notification services help deliver alerts. Mobile requests may also produce account-linked usage and diagnostic records, as described under Session Recording and Analytics.
You can change location, camera, and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission or uninstalling the app does not delete information previously saved to your Tex Intel account.
AI Features and Connected Services
When you use Tex Intel's agent or generated-report features, we process the prompts, submitted content, relevant records, and results needed to answer your request. AI and infrastructure providers may process this information to deliver the feature. Conversation history and generated work may be saved in your Tex Intel account.
When you connect Claude or another AI client, that service receives results from the tools it calls through your authorized Tex Intel account. Requests may contain search terms, identifiers, and other inputs supplied by the client. Connected tools use your account permissions; actions such as saving a search or creating an export can store information in Tex Intel.
The connector's operational logging records account and client identifiers, tool names, timing, and outcomes. Its diagnostic logger does not record tool arguments or result content. The underlying service may separately retain searches, saved work, and usage records.
You can disconnect Tex Intel in the connected service's settings. Contact Tex if you need help removing access. Disconnecting does not erase results already delivered to that service. Its privacy policy governs its handling of your conversations and the information it receives.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity
- Provide customer support and troubleshooting
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Session Recording and Analytics
We use third-party session recording and analytics providers to record and replay user sessions on our website. These services capture interactions such as mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, page navigation, content viewed, and information typed into form fields (excluding passwords). We use these recordings to understand how visitors use our site, diagnose issues, and improve the experience. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Tex Intel uses PostHog for product analytics, error tracking, and web session replay. Tex Intel web replay is configured to mask input fields; information displayed elsewhere on a page can still appear in recordings. Server-side usage records can include searches and filters, viewed resources, feature actions, request outcomes, and account identifiers. Analytics may be associated with your account name, email, and organization. Requests from the iPhone app or connected tools may also produce these records.
Browser settings and blocking tools may restrict browser storage or analytics requests. Our corporate website's PostHog integration respects the browser's Do Not Track setting, but that setting does not guarantee that all analytics or server-side logging stops across our Services. Private or incognito browsing alone does not prevent session recording or server-side usage logging. Contact us with questions or requests about analytics data.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, AI processing, push notifications, and customer service.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- With Your Consent: When you direct us to share information with third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. For account deletion or information that cannot be removed through the product, contact Tex or your organization's administrator. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your organization. Disconnecting an integration or uninstalling the app does not delete your Tex Intel account.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
- The right to request deletion of your personal information

- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
